The Texas Junior Brahmas are a ice hockey team based in Dallas, Texas. The team plays in the Western States Hockey league (WSHL) which is a USA Hockey-sanctioned Tier III Junior A ice hockey team in the Midwest Division of the Western States Hockey League. The team is owned by NYTEX Sports and the Texas Brahmas[1]
The Jr. Brahmas will begin play in the Fall of 2010 at the Fort Worth Brahmas played their home games at the NYTEX Sports Centre, also the home to the professional team, Texas Brahmas of the CHL. The team is coached by Jeremy Law, who previously coached for the Fort Worth Texans of the WSHL and won a Thorne Cup Championship in 2006.[2] The Jr. Brahmas affiliate is the Fairbanks Ice Dogs of the Tier II Junior A North American Hockey League (NAHL).
The organization also fields youth hockey teams at the Midjet, Bantam, Peewee, and Squirt and other various levels as part of the Texas Brahmas Youth Hockey Association.[3]
